Program Note:

This suite of dances does not start with an overture or prelude but rather, ends with an Invention. The dances appear in historical sequence: “Rigaudon; Sarabanda (quasi ciaconna); Walzer; Tango (quasi habanera); Blue Foxtrot and Invention.”

The 3rd movement, “Walzer”, extracted from the private recording made by the Iuventus String Quartet, is available on this site.

The work was premiered in England on 30th January 2009.
