Program Note:

This piece is dedicated to the members of the Eblana String Trio, (Jonathan Martindale, Lucy Nolan and Peggy Nolan) and has a single movement structure in three sections which are played without breaks. The outer sections are rhythmically alert and surround a central adagio/threnody. (The entire piece, extracted from their private recording, is accessible on this site.) The work received its premiere in England on 8th February 2019.
